Updating Your Trophy

June 1st, 2010

So you’ve put Trophy Score on your iPhone, measured your trophies and synced them to the Anchorpoint Trophy Room.  Whether it was a green score on an antlered animal or you simply put in an incorrect measurement, you need to update your record.  You don’t need to start over, it’s as simple as editing your record.

The "My Trophies" screen on Trophy ScoreFrom the home screen, select “My Trophies”.  Find the record you want to update and click it.

Trophy Score saves all the records you have scored so they can be shared with friends or in this case, need to be updated.  You can change anything, from a single measurement to the weather conditions, even the photo.  You can also delete a record if you like and Trophy Score gives you the choice of leaving it in the Record Book on Anchorpoint or removing it.

Click "Edit" to make changesNow that you have selected your trophy and are ready to update, click the “Edit” button up there in the top right of the screen.  This is also handy if you have never synced your trophy to Anchorpoint.  If that’s the case, once your Anchorpoint account is set up, hit Edit, scroll to the bottom and make sure the “Anchorpoint Sync” toggle is set to On. Press the “Calculate Your Trophy Score” button and Trophy Score will let you know if the sync did not complete (syncing requires an internet connection).

Set Sync to On then Calculate! For updating your trophy, clicking Edit makes the fields available to you.  Enter your new information, make sure sync is set to On and press Calculate Your Trophy Score to update.

That’s all there is to it!  Check your trophy on Anchorpoint and your trophy will be updated.

Trophy Score Beginning To Flex Muscles

Recent trophy synced from Trophy Score

As hunters are grabbing a copy of Trophy Score from the iTunes App Store [iTunes link] and begin putting it to use, they are seeing the “cool” factor turn into a downright “dang that’s cool AND handy”.  What are we talking about?  With Trophy Score you get a free account on Anchorpoint, allowing you to synchronize your scores and have them included in the online database for comparison to hunters across the country.  All the hunting magazines proudly show you the best-in-class bucks, but that’s not quite as helpful as seeing the difference a few Pope & Young, Boone & Crockett or Safari Club International points can make.

The search features on Anchorpoint lets you limit buck searches to your state, even your town.  Or maybe you want to search by score, scoring method, or hunter name. Just about any way you want to search, we make it possible.

We may be biased here, but it really is fascinating to see the difference between a 120-class buck and a 140. While an 80-class may be impressive here in the South, seeing what what a few more years of growth could result in is, well, it’s a bit of a rush.

Take some time to check out the latest trophies then get your own copy of Trophy Score.  We hope to see your name on the homepage footer real soon.
