Trophy Score Adds Gross Scoring

September 23rd, 2010

The highly rated Trophy Score big game scoring application for the iPhone has an update pending in the iTunes Store with a bunch of new features, most highly anticipated being gross scoring for deer.

“It’s something our customers have asked for since Day 1 and we appreciate their patience.  Trophy Score built a reputation on being the most refined scoring app for the iPhone and is the only one approved by both SCI and Boone & Crockett so we wanted to do gross scoring right.  I believe we did,” said developer Chip Hunnicutt.

Because Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young recognize only the net score for world records, it was important to not simply swap out net for gross, but to include both scores.  Not only are both scores calculated, but both are synced to AnchorpointOutdoors.com, home of the world’s only no-minimum record book for big game.  Trophy Score users visit the site and register a free account, plug the credentials into the Trophy Score settings and each trophy is added to the record book upon synchronizing. Anchorpoint At Southeastern Wildlife Expo

February 10th, 2010

See you at SEWE!

Looking for something to do this weekend? Grab your coat and head to the South Carolina Lowcountry for the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition! You and over 40,000 others can enjoy one of the most anticipated shows of the year, featuring 500+ artists and exhibitors.

We’ll be there as an exhibitor, showing off Anchorpoint and Trophy Score in the Sporting Village.  No, these aren’t dog names, even though the DockDogs competition and retriever demonstrations will be going on there as well.  Trophy Score is the only big game scoring app for the iPhone approved by Boone and Crockett and SCI, while Anchorpoint hosts a full-featured hunt club manager along with the database of trophies generated by Trophy Score.  Stop by and say hello inside the tent located at Brittlebank Park along the Ashley River.

The Expo is open to the public 9 am – 6pm Friday & Saturday and 9am – 5pm Sunday.  The event calendar is chockful of great stuff, from a Birds of Prey Flight Demo, presentations by Jack Hanna, Cast Net and Fly Fishing demonstrations……whew, there really is something for everyone.

Tickets are $20 Friday & Saturday and $10 on Sunday with kids under 10 free all weekend.

Trophy Score Beginning To Flex Muscles

December 16th, 2009

Recent trophy synced from Trophy Score

As hunters are grabbing a copy of Trophy Score from the iTunes App Store [iTunes link] and begin putting it to use, they are seeing the “cool” factor turn into a downright “dang that’s cool AND handy”.  What are we talking about?  With Trophy Score you get a free account on Anchorpoint, allowing you to synchronize your scores and have them included in the online database for comparison to hunters across the country.  All the hunting magazines proudly show you the best-in-class bucks, but that’s not quite as helpful as seeing the difference a few Pope & Young, Boone & Crockett or Safari Club International points can make.

The search features on Anchorpoint lets you limit buck searches to your state, even your town.  Or maybe you want to search by score, scoring method, or hunter name. Just about any way you want to search, we make it possible.

We may be biased here, but it really is fascinating to see the difference between a 120-class buck and a 140. While an 80-class may be impressive here in the South, seeing what what a few more years of growth could result in is, well, it’s a bit of a rush.

Take some time to check out the latest trophies then get your own copy of Trophy Score.  We hope to see your name on the homepage footer real soon.
