2009 Dixie Deer Classic in Raleigh, NC

Anchorpoint went live just in time for the winter hunting and outdoor tradeshows and we’re hoping to have Trophy Score available on the iTunes App Store as well.  So which shows to attend? Realistically, it will have to be those in the March-April time period, which isn’t to bad.  We tried squeezing into the Shot Show but there’s a waiting list 75 deep, with booths having sold out back in September.  No worries, we’ll get some traction throughout 2010 and try to get there for the 2011 event.

Definitely the Dixie Deer Classic in Raleigh is on the radar.  It’s in early March and is a fantastic show on its own, but this year they’ve got Michael Waddell and Lee & Tiffany Lakosky to really draw in the crowds.  The past few years I’ve attended (as a visitor, not an exhibitor), it’s been wall to wall with people.

Then there’s the Wisconsin Deer & Turkey Expo in April.  That’s a long haul from North Carolina but bonafide deer country and a great audience for Anchorpoint.  There’s another giant show that goes on in Georgia that I’ve got to look into as well.

What’s your local outdoor & hunting show that you look forward to every year?  Let us know in the Comments!

A year in development, Anchorpoint and Trophy Score wrapped up a little over a week ago.  Sending an app off for review is a bit like sending your kid off to school: you hope they’ll do well, pass the exam and go on to be a success, but there’s always the chance they’ll show up back at your front door for more grooming.

While we wait to see what happens, stay tuned here for happenings around Anchorpoint and our followup app to Trophy Score, Trophy Score Fishing.  You can also find us on Twitter as @trophyscore.
